Honda recently unveiled the 2017 Civic Type R at the Geneva Auto Show, and we’re excited about what we heard. If you’ve been curious about the engine specs and features, or about when you can get your hands on ones of the models, look no further. We have the answers you’re looking for here – and even a video of the brand-new model.
How often do you need an oil change in the 2016 Honda Civic?
Getting the oil changed in your vehicle is one of your major responsibilities as a vehicle owner. Without replacing the oil at the proper intervals, you can run into major issues with your engine that won’t be cheap to repair. Rather than putting yourself in a bad situation, it’s much easier to schedule a service appointment and let us take care of your car.
2.0-liter i-VTEC® Turbo Engine
One of the most exciting aspects of the new Honda Civic Type R (other than the fact that it’s coming to North America) is the engine. The engine is a 2.0-liter, direct-injected and turbocharged i-VTEC inline 4. The performance specs of the engine are impressive, with ratings that reach about 306 horsepower at 6,500 rotations per minute. Paired with a 6-speed transmission, the U.S.-made engine will give drivers an exciting amount of performance. If you’re curious when you’ll be able to get your hands on the new model, keep on reading!
