July 4th is nearly here, that means it’s time for us to celebrate our independence as a nation, and we really couldn’t think of a better way to do it than some good old-fashioned fireworks. Find out where all the fireworks are in your area with our 2017 guide to July 4th fireworks in Indianapolis.

IPL Downtown Freedom Fest

This is the biggest show in town, and you will be able to see the show from nearly anywhere in downtown Indianapolis, but the big party will be at the Indiana War Memorials starting at 6:30PM. At 10PM fireworks will be launched from the top of Region Tower. Music will be synced up to the show, and you can tune into the music on B105.7, 97.1 HANK FM, and 93.1 WIBC.

Independence Celebration Concert & Fireworks

On the North side of town out in Fishers, they are having their own celebration. If you want to see fireworks a day early, then head on up July 3rd to Witten Park. There will be live music starting at 7PM, food trucks, and more. To top it all off, a fireworks show will begin at 10PM. Admission is free and outside food and drinks are permitted.

Indy Museums worth visiting


CarmelFest will be kicking into high gear on July 3rd and 4th. Also on the north side of town in the Carmel Civic Square, this two-day festival features live music, food, children’s activities, and even a parade at 10:30AM on July 4th. The fireworks show is what you really came to read about though. It’s also on July 4th and it will begin at 9:45PM.

4th of July Extravaganza

If you are on the west side of town, and hoping to avoid the big city a little, then head over to Brownsburg for their 4th of July Extravaganza in Arbuckle Acres Park. They have a carnival that runs all weekend starting on June 28th and running through July 4th. The whole shebang will be capped off with fireworks on July 4th at 10PM.
