Indy Irish Fest 2017
It’s time for the 22nd annual Indy Irish Fest! Let’s all come together and celebrate all things Irish with plenty of good food and entertainment for all ages.
This year’s Irish Fest will start on Thursday, September 14th with a Pub Night Preview Concert that will take donations for the St. Vincent dePaul food bank. This event will go on from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM and will have two Celtic rock bands and a craft beer tasting for adults. Then from Friday, September 15th to Sunday, September 17th, there will be many performers, children’s activities, cultural traditions and some special activities.
For the children, there will be Kerry Putt n’ Go, Celtic Bean Bag Toss, Face Painting, Poetry Contest and many other fun activities that will keep them entertained all day long. And for the older crowd, there are many Irish bands that will be playing live throughout the weekend. Plus, to immerse yourself into the Irish culture, there will be demonstrations of Irish cultural traditions such as Irish dance, sheep herding, Irish language, mead and more. Then there will be the Kilted Mile Race, an Irish Market and a traditional Celtic Mass as well.
