Featuring three different versions, each Clarity model strives to be as environmentally-friendly as it can be with advanced and state-of-the-art engineering. The Honda Clarity Electric
Relying only on electric power, the Honda Clarity Electric uses no gasoline and produces zero-emissions as it meets a driver’s daily demands. The Clarity Electric is also one of the few electric vehicles that comes with DC fast charging, so it can be charged up to 80% in just 30-minutes. Though, currently, the Clarity Electric is only available in California and Oregon. However, as all-electric vehicles become more popular and the technology and engineering become more mainstream, the availability will transition to nationwide.

The Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid
With the best of both worlds, the Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) is able to rely on both electric and gasoline power, or both at the same time. Aggressively competing with other plug-in hybrids, the Clarity PHEV offers great amenities and efficiency that has drivers looking its way. With the popularity of plug-in hybrids, the Clarity PHEV is available all throughout the country. Honda continues to improve its engineering and the features that can be paired with the Clarity in order to make it more convenient and beneficial to drivers.
The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell
With eyes on the future of automobiles, Honda has engineered the Clarity Fuel Cell. The uniqueness of a fuel cell is that it relies on the power of hydrogen instead of gasoline or straight electricity. The fuel cell powers the Clarity’s electric drive motor by converting hydrogen into the electricity it needs, providing instant acceleration and absolutely no emissions. This is a relatively new area of the automotive industry, so the Clarity Fuel Cell is only available in California. Though Honda plans to continue its advancement within fuel cell technology in order to bring it further into the industry.
