How does the Honda Accord Sedan compare to the VW Passat?
Efficiency is always important when you are looking at buying a modern vehicle. Gas money comes right out of your pocket, and you never know when the price of gas may go up. For this reason, you may take comfort in the fact that according to EPA estimates the Accord Sedan LX offers better fuel economy both in the city and on the highway than the Passat S.* What’s more, it manages better numbers while also achieving higher performance in the horsepower department. Now that’s what we call impressive.
At this point, it is also worth mentioning that the Accord Sedan LX is also available with a manual transmission in case you wanted full control over your drive. The Passat doesn’t offer a manual transmission at any trim level.
The Accord Sedan LX also offers greater interior room. You can see this in both the front headroom and the front shoulder room, where the Accord Sedan can boast of bigger numbers than the Passat. On top of that, the overall passenger volume of the Accord Sedan stands at 103.2 cubic-feet, which is more room than the Passat provides with its 102.0 cubic-feet.
