2017 Honda CR-V vs 2017 Kia Sportage
It’s time for another crossover comparison. This time we will be taking the most popular crossover from Honda and putting it against the most popular crossover from Kia. Keep reading and see how well the two brands compete in this 2017 Honda CR-V vs 2017 Kia Sportage comparison.
To make this comparison fair, we will only be looking at the top two trim levels for both of these models. For the Sportage that means we will be considering the SV trim and for the CR-V we will be looking at the Touring trim. You can see both of these models side-by-side in the image that we included here. How does the Honda CR-V compare to the Kia Sportage?
For starters, we see that the CR-V includes more standard technology. With the inclusion of a power liftgate and memory seats both standard, it is clear that the CR-V Touring is looking out for your comfort. These are both features that are not available at all in the 2017 Sportage, not even at the top SV trim level.
An important factor to consider when shopping for any crossover or SUV is interior space. Here the Honda CR-V beats the Sportage easily by offering over 4 cubic-feet of extra room for passengers. If you think that the CR-V merely sacrifices passenger room for cargo room, then you would be mistaken. The CR-V provides a whopping 75.8 cubic-feet of maximum cargo room which puts the Sportage and its 60.1 cubic-feet of maximum cargo room to shame.
If you were worried about having all-wheel drive, then that chart should have put your mind at ease. Though both of these models come standard as front-wheel drive crossovers, they also both have all-wheel drive as an available option.
