To ensure that this comparison is fair, we will be looking at the top trims for both of these exciting crossovers. How does the CR-V Touring compare to the RAV4 Platinum?

Some engines make sacrifices in the torque department to get a higher horsepower rating, but with the CR-V that is not the case. Not only does the CR-V Touring display more horsepower than the RAV4, but it also has more torque available with 179 pound-feet of torque compared to the 172 pound-feet of torque supplied by the RAV4 Platinum. Even with all that extra power, the CR-V Touring still manages to achieve high mpg values in the city and out on the highway according to EPA estimates.*

When it comes to the interior, the Touring CR-V greets you with supple leather seats, a feature which the RAV4 doesn’t offer even at its highest Platinum trim level. On top of that, the CR-V Touring provides more interior room for your passengers with over 102 cubic-feet of passenger space.
