Here in Indiana, the average daily commute—one way—is about 24 minutes, which means most of us spend an average of 48 minutes every day in our vehicle just getting to and from work. That doesn’t factor in running errands, making stops for gas, picking up our kids from school, and countless other things that get us into our cars each day. Assuming someone works five days a week, 50 weeks a year, that’s roughly 200 hours each year that they spend driving to and from work; we think you should enjoy that time as much as possible. The Honda lineup has an incredible selection of cars designed to improve your daily commute and help you make the most of every moment you spend on the road, and as your Honda dealer near Greenwood, we’re ready to help you choose the perfect one. Let’s take a look at Honda’s sedans and figure out which model will bring you the most joy during your commute.

2025 Honda Civic: Compact Design, Big Style and Features

As we look at Honda’s sedans, the Civic is the perfect place to start since it works well for a wide range of drivers, and there are many different versions of it available (we’ll get into details on two of those in a moment). The standard 2025 Civic is a terrific choice if you’re looking for something simple to drive around Greenwood each day; its small size makes it perfect for navigating crowded city streets and finding parking spots anywhere you go. It’s powered by a 2.0L I-4 engine that provides 150 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT); all Honda sedans feature front-wheel drive, which is perfect for your daily commute.

If you’re looking for something a little different, then there’s a Civic Hybrid available with a 2.0L I-4 hybrid powertrain that provides an enhanced 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, creating an incredible time on the road each day. Going with the standard gas engine, the 2025 Civic gets an EPA-estimated 32 MPG in the city, 41 MPG on the highway, and 36 MPG combined.[a] This is already very impressive, but if you go with the hybrid engine, then you get an estimated 50 MPG in the city, 47 MPG on the highway, and 49 MPG combined.[a] That’s incredible gas mileage that lets you drive around Greenwood without frequent stops for gas: something all of us can appreciate.

The features you get with the 2025 Civic depend on which trim level you choose; there’s the LX, Sport, Sport Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid trims. Every trim comes with automatic climate control, push button start, and illuminated controls on the steering wheel. High-end trims feature dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and heated front seats. A seven-inch Driver Information Interface screen is standard, along with a seven-inch infotainment display; the Sport Touring Hybrid trim gets a 10.2-inch driver display and a nine-inch infotainment screen. You also get a wireless charging pad and a 12-speaker Bose Premium sound system in the Sport Touring Hybrid.

Finally, note that you can get the 2025 Civic as either a standard sedan or a hatchback model; both options have four doors and a spacious interior, but the hatchback gives you a rear cargo area closer to a small SUV than a typical car. You get two rows inside for five passengers in both models, with 39.3 inches of headroom and 42.3 inches of legroom up front, along with 37.1 inches of headroom and 37.4 inches of legroom in the back. The rear design of the Civic Hatchback makes it easier to access the trunk area, plus you get 24.5 cu.ft. of total cargo space in the hatchback model with the rear seat up.

2025 Honda Civic Si: Enhanced Power and Features

If you like the design of the Civic sedan but want something with a bit more muscle under the hood, then you need to check out the 2025 Civic Si. This takes the Civic as a foundation and builds on it with remarkable performance thanks to a turbocharged 1.5L I-4 engine that delivers 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. Honda pairs this engine with a six-speed manual transmission that gives you total control over your car and a limited-slip differential that helps improve traction and handling on the road. Inside the Civic Si, you’ll find a gorgeous, racing-inspired cabin featuring black and red seating with red stitching, along with a unique red-bordered honeycomb-patterned strip on the dashboard. You get the large displays and Bose sound system found in the Civic Sport Touring Hybrid, plus a power moonroof and more.

2025 Honda Civic Type R: Incredible Performance

As impressive as the Civic Si is, it’s actually not the pinnacle of performance that Honda offers for this stylish car. The 2025 Civic Type R takes things to the next level, building on the Civic Hatchback design to deliver an experience that’s far beyond anything else—it’s perfect if you want massive power under your control while driving around Greenwood each day. This beast is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L I-4 engine that delivers 315 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, far surpassing any other Civic model. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and the Civic Type R features a dual-axis MacPherson strut front suspension, 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, and Brembo four-piston front brakes to help keep you in control. With gorgeous interior features like high-bolstered sport seats featuring Double Red stitching and seating for up to four passengers inside, this is a powerful vehicle that’s also great for your daily commute.

2025 Honda Accord: Midsize Comfort and Bold Styling

Finally, if you’re looking for something larger, then the Honda Accord is a terrific pick that gives you more room inside to enjoy, along with plenty of great options for your drive each day. This is a midsize sedan, so you get a spacious interior that is great for small families and a wide range of drivers. The standard engine for the 2025 Accord is a 1.5L turbocharged I-4 that provides 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque, giving you a great driving experience each day. This engine is paired with a CVT and gives you an EPA-estimated 29 MPG in the city, 37 MPG on the highway, and 32 MPG combined.[b]

If you’re looking for something with enhanced performance and fantastic gas mileage, then there’s a hybrid engine available. This is a 2.0L hybrid powertrain that delivers 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque while getting an EPA-estimated 51 MPG in the city, 44 MPG on the highway, and 48 MPG combined.[b] You won’t find this kind of fuel economy on many other midsize cars out there, which lets you take care of everything you need each day while making fewer stops for gas. You have two trim levels offered with the traditional gas engine, giving you standard features like automatic climate control and seating for up to five people, plus available options like dual-zone automatic climate control and a 10-way power driver’s seat.

Honda offers four different trims for the 2025 Accord that have the hybrid powertrain, giving you more options and making it the perfect choice if you like to really customize your ride. You get dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a power 10-way driver’s seat in every hybrid model. Looking at higher trims, you can get available features like a heated steering wheel (perfect for cold winter mornings), leather-trimmed seating, and ventilated front seats for the summer. You can also get a 10.2-inch Driver Information Interface, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a wireless charging pad, and a Bose Premium sound system in these trims to enhance every moment you spend on the road.
